Ashes and urns aren't aren't for everyone. Stones are a really neat alternative. They can be placed in a decorative bowl or other arrangement and kept center-stage on the kitchen table, or you can carry them with you. The possibilities are pretty endless -- they're tangible, travel-sized, and easily shared between family members. We work with two companies offering stones from cremated remains: Parting Stone and Sacred Stones.

Parting Stone
Popularized by their appearance on the TV show Shark Tank, this company makes stones from ashes that range in size from 1" to 3". The color of the stones varies naturally from person to person. Their stones will not disintegrate or dissolve in water so they are safe to be placed outside and subjected to inclement weather without concern. Turnaround time is up to 10 weeks.

Stones may also be engraved with names and dates. It is not recommended that these stones be placed outdoors as they will break down over months-to-years. Turnaround time is 6 weeks.
