About MeMy name is Rachel, I'm a lifelong Alaskan and animal lover. After spending nearly a decade working with the deceased and bereaved through the facilitation of anatomical donation, I've been profoundly impacted by the potential for end-of-life decisions to set the stage for the grief that inevitably follows. I think it's incredibly important that people have access to a diverse suite of deathcare services so they can make choices for themselves, their loved ones, and their pets that will be personally meaningful. For that reason I proudly serve on the Board of Directors for Alaska Natural Burial and the Alaska End-of-Life Alliance, and I am proud to bring Water Cremation to Southcentral Alaska through my small business, Flameless Cremation Services. |

We cannot say enough good things about Flameless Cremation Services. Rachel was a godsend. As our beloved dog passed away from cancer, she could not have been more helpful during that painful period. She was willing to literally meet us anywhere and at any time, whenever we had to let him go.
Her patience, flexibility, and compassion were all a great comfort to us – she was mourning right alongside us. She gently carried him away from us and oversaw the processing of his remains personally. Everything about the cremation process was as advertised. His remains are white and do not look burnt, there is more of him left compared to the traditional cremation process, and with a lot less energy utilized and less negative impact on the environment. Finally, all the extras such as the clay paw print and gold nose print pendant were perfect. Trust us, this is where you want your pet taken care of after they are gone. We cannot emphasize the personal touch here enough, compared to say having your pet being impersonally put in a bag, thrown in the back of a vehicle, and trucked out to some large crematorium somewhere far away, where maybe everything you expect to happen doesn't. Just have your pet taken here. You will not regret it! --Pete E |
Rachel is such an amazing human being, def someone you want in your corner when your struggling through the grief of losing your fur baby. I had spoke with her months before hand in preparation as we knew our dog was sick. She answered all our questions, help guide us through the process. Unfortunately things did not go as planned and our dog took a turn for the worst on a Sunday night, i quickly took her to the vet and asked my husband to call Rachel so we could schedule next steps, to our surprise she did answer the phone at 7pm on a Sunday night. She offered her condolences and helped us through the process. She picked up our sweet baby from the vets office the following morning texting me to confirm she has retrieved her. She called me a couple days later letting me know she was to the machine and when her ashes would be ready. The ashes were ready when she said they would be she came out hand delivered them and let me share some memories about her. The experience was smooth and quite honestly it was healing between supportive vet staff at the vet and Rachel. Im grateful for the support and kind words i received as my husband was away at work and i was alone so the support I received was much appreciated. Thank you for treating my best girl with the utmost care and consideration, thank you for your kindness and compassion, and thank you for bringing my girl home. 💜 --Amber T
